A: Usually, yes. Most people can request a new biometrics appointment through their USCIS online account if they have a sufficient reason and act before the appointment. The online tool does not work within 12 hours of the appointment, after the appointment has passed, or after 2 or more prior reschedules. If you cannot use the online tool, contact USCIS. After rescheduling, print the new appointment notice and bring it with the earlier notice and required photo identification. Do not simply skip the appointment, because missing biometrics can delay or jeopardize the case.
